Can I use my refrigerator overseas with transformer?

It is not recommended for 3 reasons: 1. Even if you adjust the voltage with a transformer, you can never adjust the cycles. Difference in cycles can cause your refrigerator to break in a few months. 2. Refrigerator that works with a transformer consumes much more electricity, which is not economical to you. 3. Service Centers overseas usually carry parts for 220V/50Hz products, where as you will have hard time finding a part for 110V/60Hz refrigerator.

Can I use my washer or electric dryer overseas with transformer?

No. Because of the difference in cycles the timer of your product will become malfunction. The washer will not work the amount of time that you set it up to. Due to that the cleaning results will not be a satisfactory. The dryer drum will not rotate at the appropriate speed, which in turn will effect your drying results.

Can I use my gas dryer overseas?

Check what gas system is used in the country you are relocating to. In the USA natural gas is being used, when in most overseas countries it is propane gas that has different pressure, mixture, etc.

Can I use my small appliances with no timer overseas using transformer?

In general yes, however, due to difference in cycles, life span of your appliance will be shortened. The speed of your small appliance with motor will be slower by about 20%. Small appliances with a heating element will consume more electricity and you will have to purchase a powerful transformer that usually costs more then the appliance itself.
